The X-Type is a compact executive car produced by British car maker Jaguar between 2001 and 2009. It was the smallest of the Jaguar saloon cars, offered as a four-door saloon or five-door estate (marketed as the Sportwagon). The car was based on the Ford CD132 platform, which was shared with the Ford Mondeo. The X-Type was also the first Jaguar to be made available with all-wheel drive. The interior of the X-Type had a stylish and luxurious feel and was fitted with features such as air conditioning, heated leather seats and a high-quality sound system. The car was available with a range of petrol and diesel engines, including a V6 engine producing up to 231 horsepower. Overall, the X-Type was a popular choice for those seeking a smaller, stylish and luxurious executive car.
